If you don’t own a snowmobile but are interested in riding a snowmobile for the day, there are several companies that provide guided snowmobiling tours in and near Lake Tahoe. Following is a list of the known companies that can take you out for a beautiful and memorable snowmobile ride.

Coldstream Adventures (located on the west edge of Truckee on Donner Pass Road)
Eagle Ridge Snowmobile Outfitters (located 15 miles North of Truckee on highway 89)
Lake Tahoe Adventures (located in South Shore)
Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours (located at the top of Brockway Summit on highway 237 between Kings Beach and Truckee)
Zephyr Cove Snowmobile Center (located in Zephyr Cove, on highway 50).
Rent a Snowmobile
There are two companies that rent snowmobiles for the day. One company is located on the North Shore and one on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. See links below
The North Shore Snowmobile rental provides 30 miles of groomed trails right from its rental portal. The off trail terrain is intermediate and provides a great experience with minimum effort.
